Working Relationships

Abstract

An essay is presented on friendship in the workplace. It says that adults spend their hours at work to form relationships with supervisor, subordinates, and customers which are sometimes transactional or intimate friendships. It mentions that workplace friendships connections may lead to promotions which could provide care and support to workers in a competitive workplace environment. It adds that workplace relationships are examined to challenge legal understandings of family and work.
