The Washington University Jurisprudence Review accepts works written by scholars from within and outside the legal academy. Although the Jurisprudence Review publishes articles focusing on a wide range of jurisprudential issues, submissions must critically discuss topics involving law and philosophy.
There are no page length or word count limits placed on submissions, and works may vary from brief essays to more lengthy articles. The text and footnotes of each manuscript should conform primarily to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed. 2020) and secondarily to The Chicago Manual of Style (17th ed. 2017).
The Washington University Jurisprudence Review prefers manuscripts to be submitted by e-mail, but accepts typewritten manuscripts submitted by regular mail. All submissions should include the manuscript, an abstract, curriculum vitae, and cover letter. Authors may address cover letters to the Editor in Chief. Submissions become property of the Jurisprudence Review and cannot be returned.
The Jurisprudence Review will make every effort to timely notify authors of publication decisions.
