Larissa van den Herik is Professor of public international law at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies at Leiden University. She is also the chair of the Advisory Committee on Public International Law Issue to the Dutch government (CAVV), which has published an advice on scope for and the significance and desirability of the use of the term ‘genocide’ by politicians.
Rafael Braga da Silva is an Associate Appeals Counsel at the United Nations Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals. He holds a L.L.M. Advanced Studies in Public International Law (cum laude), Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies, Leiden University, and a LL.M in Transnational Crimes and Justice, University for Peace and United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI).
